I am writing this from a cyber cafe in Belmopan so excuse the typos etc..
I arrived in Belize on Thursday afternoon. I should have got there on Wednesday evening but Air France arrived into Houston late so I missed my connecting flight. They did put me in a $300 a night hotel with food vouchers so I can’t complain.
Houston was really hot and I met an oil tycoon…that was my Texan experience. Though I should thank the U.S Navy Recruting Officer who let me use his PC to check my emails.
When I arrived in Belize I was shocked by HOT it was. Forget Kenya in December! This place is hot.
My placement leader (boss) is ill at the moment – please pray for her. I shall start work on Monday though I am not sure how much I can do without her.
I have spent the days with my host, a lovely African American woman who has had my name on her prayer list since the day she agreed to host me.
She is a Seventh Day Adventist so today I went with her to church which was great.
This is a very disjointed entry…I shall do better soon.
