this is one of my favorite poems from Maya Angelou, I love how she celebrates women, I’ve even written my own verson of this poem remixing it in my own style, I’ve posted it before on my page, assuming people knew that it was originally written by someone else, but lots of people didn’t understand it and wanted to say that I was stealing it. That’s not what I was trying to do, but I think the way people responded to it went even more deeper for me. I don’t really think people appreciate poems that are written to make women feel confident. I write alot of poetry,
and I think there are absolutely no limits to expression. Maya really inspires me to write more in my life, and I love her for that, and I love this poem, it’s classic.

Hey Kui it feels good reading about your host and the other thing is that you have to see yourself as this phenomenal woman too. The thing about being inspired is that at times you do not have to travel very far.

I don’t think I’ve enjoyed reading anything (believe I’ve really enjoyed checking out your messages) that I’ve read as much as I’ve enjoyed this. Your charismatic, Humourous, ingenious writing has warmed me so much that this library is getting to hot… Keep it up big sis. P.s completely agree with u on all the amazing women above. X X X
