Following on from this incident<\/a>, things at home went from bad to worse. My placement leader (PL) felt that it was in everybody’s interest for me to move. She spoke to a lady who had hosted a previous CWW volunteer and she agreed to take me. I had met her a while back and we got on so I was happy with the decision. <\/p>\n

On Thursday my PL broke the news to my host and later that day I went to visit my new host to arrange a time to move in. She said that I could move my bags in on Saturday but she had a Guatemalan student staying till Sunday. This was not a problem because I had made plans to go back to Cayo on the Saturday night.<\/p>\n

When I got back home on Thursday evening I told my host that I would be leaving on Saturday and she reminded me that Saturdays are not good because she is at church all day. A quick phone call to my PL and my final move date was set for Friday, 2 pm.<\/p>\n

I packed hurriedly on Thursday night and on Friday I dropped my bags off at the office. My PL had not spoken to my new host to tell her that their had been a change to the date and time of the move. We waited until the end of the work day and could not get hold of her. Thankfully another volunteer had a spare room for the night so I stayed there.<\/p>\n

I went to Cayo for the weekend and moved in to the new place on Sunday. I feel a lot more settled in my new home and I am a lot happier than I was a last week.<\/p>\n

Oh…I am allowed to have visitors, I can receive phonecalls and I am allowed to call anyone in the Belmopan area, I have my own door key and my own door into the house. <\/p>\n
