There has been some confusion re amending the constitution. I was initially informed that I submit a draft our Minister and she will take it from there. On Monday I was told that it has to go via the Solicitor General before it goes to our Minister. I was aslo told that the Solicitor General is very busy and can be hard to get hold of.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon I decided to go to Attorney General’s Law Library which is right next door to the Solicitor General’s (SG) office. I met his secretary and asked if I could make an appointment to see the SG and she said it will take a while, I asked if he had any other lawyers working with him that I could speak to and she said that would take a while too. I left my card with her and made my way to the library.<\/p>\n

After ten minutes of looking for a book on drafting the librarian told me that the only copy had been taken out by the Croc Wrestler! I was beginning to feel like it had been a wasted trip but the librarian had lots of stories for me so I chatted with her. I asked her if the SG is ever around or if the other lawyer is in and she responded by leaving the room and returning with the SG!<\/p>\n

In less than five minutes he answered all my question about drafting and he said I could come back and see him anytime. The Librarian then brought in the lawyer who gave me a lot more information. I think we had a lot to talk about because she is a young lawyer who qualified two years ago, we swapped work, home, mobile and email details. <\/p>\n

I could barely contain my joy when I phoned my Placement Leader. If all goes to plan this should all be over with by the end of the month!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
