I could hear drumming and singing and it sounded like it was coming from the front porch and living room area. I don’t mean like steel drums or rock and roll drums, I mean full on African style drums, maraccas, and Garifuna singing. <\/p>\n

I got up and walked into the kitchen and there were two women making flour tortillas and singing away. My host was in the shower so I went out on to the porch and there were five guys drumming and singing. They had travelled up for an event on Monday and spent the night at my host’s place but when they arrived I was alseep.<\/p>\n
