Drinks at The British High Commission…

Wed 29th September 2004 MamaJunkYard

As we walked into the grounds of British High Commissioner’s residence I felt as though I had said good bye to Belize and stepped into British Honduras.

There was nothing notable about the night other than they make you leave $20 (Belizean Dollars) at the bar and then they take away whatever you spend.

I am not sure if I shall make it a regular event; infact I am almost certain that I shan’t. Part of me felt like a traitor, and they don’t serve Belizean beer. The other part of me wants to go back because some of money is still at the bar.
