Have Your Say…

Sat 7th May 2005 MamaJunkYard

Not content with simply marking the ballot box with an X? Did you wish you could have pinned your reasons for voting to the back of the ballot form? The elections may be over but that doesn’t mean that we can’t let the world know exactly why we voted the way did. There is now a site that let’s you have your say[via Guardian Online]. I Voted For You Because is possibly the only place where you can read original reasons for voting such as the one below:

I think your boss is quite sexy in comparison to the rest of the party leaders. Sex sells and it buys votes from weirdos like me. – [- written about Manchester, Gorton]

Wonderful way of giving feedback to the candidates & the parties as well. I think it’s a clear sign of changing times, you know where the politicians will that it doesn’t just take winning or losing, the contituents will stay be on your tail.

Who knows where this may lead to? Elections in the near future may mean more than a mere ‘X’ but an explanation that can be anaylzed. Thanks for sharing the info & sites:)
