The (Drama) Queen Has Landed

Sat 16th July 2005 MamaJunkYard

In the previous post I mentioned a huuuuge surprise/gift was arriving at 6.45 am. I can now reveal that this secret was in fact the arrival of my thirteen year old sister, Mimu. At about 4 am lost my battle to stay up all night waiting for Harry so when Mimu called me at 8 am I could barely string a sentence together. It was still a great pleasure to hear her voice without the delays and disconnections that long distance calls are prone to.

Living miles a way from London means that I will not get to see her until Wednesday night but I am so thrilled she is here. My cousins, who were clueless, woke up to a wonderful surprise and I know they are having a fantastic time.

Mimu, who spells her names Mimo (why?), has apparently been reading my blog but today was the first time she left a comment. I usually do not single out comments but I have decided to give one of her comments a special mention.

In April this year I did a birthday post for Mimu incorporating songs from the year she was born (1992). Today she left a comment in my Birthday Countdown post which contained hits from the year 1978 (the year I was born). Apparently I am meant to guess the odd one out. What I want to know is how on earth she found all these songs. Anyway here is the message:

Wangui, My sister you keep me (STAYIN’) ALIVE. When ever I am apart from you I GO CRAZY. You will always TAKE A CHANCE ON ME even when I am at my worst. I can never explain HOW MUCH I FEEL for you. You are one HOT CHILD IN THE CITY. So MOVE YOUR BOOGIE BODY girl you are 27!!!!
I will love you forever big sis mwah!
P.S. All the words in big letters are songs from the year 1978 can you guess the odd one out.

The only ones I can identify are Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees, and ABBA’s Take a Chance on Me, though I don’t know if either of them was a hit in 1978.

Any one got any ideas?

That Drama Queen, I tell you! The stories I had heard from the airport to 82 are enough to fill two books at least 🙂
